Affirmation Blog: Embracing the Power of the Impossible
In Luke 18:27 (KJV), Jesus tells us, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” This verse is a powerful reminder of the boundless possibilities that exist when we put our faith in God. The world may tell us that some things are impossible, but we serve a God who specializes in making the impossible, possible!
"I believe in the God of the impossible, and I trust that His power makes all things possible in my life. What I cannot achieve on my own, I can accomplish with God by my side."
When we face difficulties in life, it is easy to feel defeated or overwhelmed. We may see challenges as too big, goals as unreachable, or dreams as too distant. But as followers of Christ, we are called to remember that God operates on a different level—He is not limited by what we see or think is achievable.
When we allow God to work in our lives, He can accomplish what seems unattainable through human effort. In our weakness, His strength is made perfect. This truth should fill us with hope and confidence as we pursue our God-given dreams and goals.
"You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great."
Zig’s words remind us that it is not about having all the answers or being perfect from the start. It is about beginning with what we have and trusting God to bring the increase. When we take the first step in faith, believing that with God, anything is possible, we set ourselves up for divine success.
Scientific research supports the idea that our mindset plays a significant role in how we approach challenges. Studies on the growth mindset have shown that people who believe in their ability to grow and improve are more likely to succeed. This aligns perfectly with biblical principles. When we believe that "with God, all things are possible," we adopt a spiritual growth mindset that opens us to the miraculous.
I remember a time in my life when I felt trapped by circumstances that seemed impossible to overcome. No matter what I did, the situation remained the same—until I stopped relying solely on my own strength and surrendered it to God. When I shifted my mindset from "I can’t" to "God can," things began to change. Doors opened, relationships healed, and opportunities that once seemed impossible were now within reach.
If you are in a season where something feels out of reach, let this be your encouragement: what seems impossible with man is possible with God. He is a way-maker, a miracle-worker, and a promise-keeper. Trust Him with your dreams, your goals, and your heart.
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that what is impossible with man is possible with You. Help me to release fear, doubt, and discouragement, and fill my heart with faith in Your power. I trust that You will make a way where there seems to be no way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
No challenge, goal, or dream is too big for God. As you move forward in life, trust Him to do the impossible in your circumstances. Let your faith be the fuel that propels you toward success, remembering always that with God, all things are possible.
"I walk in faith, knowing that God will make the impossible possible in my life. I trust Him with every aspect of my journey."
Go forth this week, believing in the God of the impossible!
